Attendance at the delivery of your newborn

Dr Meyer is available to be at the delivery of your baby or to assess your child post-delivery.

Most children will have an uncomplicated birth process, we are then available to assess your child thoroughly from a growth and neurodevelopmental perspective and to examine all their systems for any concerns.

As a mom herself, Dr Meyer is more than willing to answer any questions you may have with regards to breastfeeding, immunisation, or general health care.

All caesarean section deliveries require a paediatrician to be present at delivery, you are more than welcome to request Dr Meyer to be there as a part of your delivery plan, please discuss this with your obstetrician/gynaecologist prior to the birth.

In the event of a complicated birth or a premature delivery, Dr Meyer is there to provide emergency care to your newborn and is skilled in looking after the baby which may require Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU). She has worked with a neonatologist for over four years and finds personal satisfaction in following up on her patients who have graduated from the NICU.
